Even if it looks cliché, AHS had always the quality of doing something complex and interesting. I want to see more of by seeing more of the 1st part, i want to see nothing of the 2nd part. The acting is bad, the dialogues is horrible. They aren't interesting characters, the plot too. We had 5 min of discussion about sex in the restaurant. 5 min of walking in the desert. And 2 min of talking about sex. I think all the time jumping is messing with me. Because I sure felt like I needed a play-by-play to follow this episode. We started in the past, with Ike and Nixon on a golf course. They’re talking about whether or not to tell the current president, Kennedy, about the agreement they made with the aliens. Oh, is that confusing for you? Yeah, it was confusing for me, too. Fortunately, there’s a flashback. That’s still in black and white. I caught up quickly, though. And I was fascinated by the story. The aliens are from a dying planet. They need to find a way to live on Earth. They’d like to do it through an agreement with America. And they don’t intend to be freeloaders. They have gifts to give. Like microwave technology. Mamie, the first lady, wants to see Ike take the deal. She doesn’t want it going to the Russians. So she tries to convince him that it’s his patriotic duty to take the deal. I personally already didn’t like her. We saw her refuse to call Mrs. Kennedy after JFK was killed, because of a slight over pink decorations at the white house. I don’t know a lot about real-life First Lady Taylor. Maybe she’s a delightful person. But the character on the show isn’t my favorite. That being said, she’s played to perfection by Sarah Paulson. As always, Paulson just vanishes into the role. Mamie goes to Nixon, telling him all sorts of classified information. I doubt it will come up, but she probably should have gone to jail. Instead, she fights with Ike. Well, the thing is, we don’t know if she’s fighting, or if it’s the alien. Either way, it seems that Ike isn’t going to have much of a choice. In the second half of the episode, we come back to the present time. Kendall and her friends have gone from morning sickness to eight months pregnant in the span of a few days. They go to a doctor, who attempts to call for help. What happens instead is the arrival of the secret service. The kids are taken to a mysterious location that will look familiar to long-time viewers of AHS. It looks distinctly like where Grace and Alma were taken in Asylum. Were Kit’s children earlier tests by this same alien race? We don’t know. What we do know, or what we can at least assume, is that these kids are going to be giving birth to alien children. And there’s a good chance they’re not going to survive. At the very least, the boys won’t. I’m stoked for the next episode. I have a feeling that things are going to start coming together from part one, and maybe even previous seasons. See you next week. Thanks for reading!
